How we research
We verify the exact model and current manufacturer documentation before using capacity, continuous or surge output, charging input, dimensions, environmental limits, warranty, price, or availability. For safety-sensitive claims, we use primary sources such as CPSC, CDC, Ready.gov, NOAA, the American Red Cross, product labels, and equipment manuals.
We do not claim first-person product use or measurements unless they actually occurred. Retailer listings can help confirm current package or availability context, but they do not override a manufacturer manual, product label, building code, public agency, or qualified professional.
The boundaries we keep
A battery power station is not a fuel-burning generator. A portable cord is not transfer equipment. A first aid kit does not replace training, emergency services, or personal medical advice. Product-specific ratings, storage conditions, expiry dates, fuel rules, local disposal requirements, and electrical installation instructions stay attached to the exact product and situation.
Preparedness advice also changes with local hazards, household medical needs, pets, evacuation plans, and official instructions during an event. We state those limits instead of presenting one shopping list as universal.
